Ready Player One - Analysis

Ready Player One was a great read. I enjoyed the story of an underdog overcoming the odds and ultimately winning. This story is quite like another story that I loved growing up, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. You have to be chosen in a way to really understand the clues left behind by Halliday thus the "golden ticket". There is also selling the secrets of The Everlasting Gobstopper to the enemy present within this story. The equivalent to that is some characters work for the enemy to divulge secrets. Lastly, the idea that the most deserving and humble character walks away with the prize is similar. However, the difference is people know they are fighting for ownership of Halliday's assets wherein Willy Wonka that information is withheld. I really liked this story and had a good time reading about the trails.
